Steve Wadsworth

Steve Wadsworth is an investor and board member in multiple companies and a partner in W3 Capital, a private equity firm focused on investments in lower middle market technology companies.

Prior to W3 Capital, Steve spent the majority of his career leading technology-enabled media businesses.  Most recently, Steve was the Chairman and CEO of Tapjoy, a high growth mobile app advertising technology business.  Steve stepped into the CEO role from the board to drive a turnaround of the business, which ultimately led to a successful exit through a sale to a strategic acquirer.  Prior to Tapjoy, Steve was the president of Disney Interactive Media Group where he led the internet, mobile and games division of the Walt Disney Company for over a decade.  At Disney, Steve navigated a portfolio of internet, mobile and games businesses through a series of dynamic changes in the industry and delivered strong growth in the business.  Earlier in his career Steve worked in consulting and venture investing.

Steve has a BS degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia and an MBA from UCLA.
