IRS Launched Redesigned 2020 W-4 Form

As reported in our 2019 mid-year update, the federal Internal Revenue Service (IRS) redesigned its W-4 federal income tax withholding form in response to the 2018 federal tax overhaul legislation. The 2020 W-4 form is now live, and EP has updated its payroll start packet to include the new W-4 form. EP will require that crew and talent submit a 2020 W-4 form if never paid by EP before, or if changing any information from their W-4 form that is on file with EP. Crew and talent who have been paid by EP before 2020, and who have an existing W-4 form on file with EP, will have federal income tax withheld under the existing W-4 form and will not need to submit a new W-4 form to EP. For further information about the 2020 federal W-4 form, view the IRS 2020 W-4 Form FAQs here.
