Burbank, Calif. and Toronto, Canada (April 16, 2025) – Entertainment Partners today announced the appointment of Anne Loi as President, Canada. Anne will lead EP’s strategy and operations in Canada, focusing on business growth and market expansion, strategic partnerships and industry engagement. Her first day in the new role will be May 5th.

Anne brings extensive experience in media, entertainment and finance, most recently serving as EVP, M&A and Chief Commercial Officer at WildBrain, a leading Canadian media, entertainment and content company specializing in children’s and family programming. Since joining WildBrain in its early days, she has played a key role in growing the company into a successful publicly listed business. She has led content and IP investments, strategic partnerships and M&A activities, working closely with creative teams to develop a leading slate of kids’ and family programming. WildBrain’s portfolio includes iconic brands such as Peanuts, Teletubbies, Inspector Gadget, Strawberry Shortcake and Yo Gabba Gabba.

Prior to WildBrain, Anne was Vice President of Financial Strategy at ExtendMedia, and held leadership roles at IMG Group, Procter & Gamble, and Deloitte. A Chartered Professional Accountant, she holds a BA from Western University and an MBA from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. She is also an active industry leader, serving on the boards of the Canadian Media Producers Association and the Canadian Film Centre, among others.

"We are thrilled to welcome Anne to Entertainment Partners,” said Markham L. Goldstein, President and CEO of Entertainment Partners. “Her deep expertise in media and entertainment, combined with her leadership in content strategy, partnerships and M&A make her the ideal person to drive our Canadian business forward. At the same time, I want to recognize EP’s outgoing President in Canada, Cheryl Nex, for her tremendous contributions in shaping our Canadian business. We are grateful for her leadership and impact.”

Cheryl Nex is retiring after more than 30 years with EP, having played a crucial role in Its expansion and success in Canada. She will be working closely with Anne during a transition period to ensure a smooth handover at the end of 2025.

“I’m honored to join Entertainment Partners and excited to build on the strong foundation that has been established in Canada,” said Anne Loi. “This is a dynamic time for the industry, and I look forward to working with the talented team at EP to drive growth, innovation and meaningful partnerships in the market.”
