Entertainment Partners Launches New Production Incentive Tools

New Online Tools help Filmmakers and Producers to Identify their Best Global Tax Incentives
June 21, 2021

Entertainment Partners’ team of experts has gathered and streamlined production incentive information from across six continents and over 120 individual jurisdictions at EP.com to help productions evaluate how much money can be saved and which locations provide them the best incentives.

Productions can find details on an incentive program by clicking on the jurisdiction page for a breakdown of the specific incentive program components, including the percentage or value of the incentive, what qualifies, application deadlines and sunset dates. Links to guidelines and legislation are also provided for deeper analyses.

The site also includes a new incentives estimator tool to provide an estimate of a production’s potential savings for locations in the US and Canada. Productions can also use the comparison tool to view up to three jurisdictions side by side.  And videos on the site explain the mechanics and terminology related to monetizing transferable tax credits.

“Film and television production incentives are complicated, and the rules and legislation change constantly, which is why our clients and the industry need the information that EP is providing to help them make the best data-driven production decisions,” said Joe Chianese, EP’s SVP & Practice Leader, Production Incentives.  “It's crucial for productions to have the reliable, accurate information that our site provides.”
