Contract Services

What is Contract Services?

Contract Services, also known as CSATF, is a nonprofit organization established by the major studios and Hollywood unions to administer certain aspects of the collective bargaining agreements between Producers and Unions. Contract Services administers rosters like the Industry Experience Roster and IATSE Television Commercial Roster. Contract Services also provides mandatory safety training and harassment prevention training, offers non-mandatory skills training and operates other programs that benefit the film and television industry. For more information about Contract Services, visit www.csatf.org.

Which unions and locals does Contract Services work with?

Click here to see a list of the Unions and Locals served by Contract Services.

How can I tell whether my classification is part of a roster or if I have Contract Services training requirements?

To find out if your classification is part of a roster or if you have Contract Services training requirements, visit the Contract Services Industry Hub and click “Search Industry Professionals.”

Using the drop-down menus, you can see all Local Unions and job classifications that are either part of the Industry Experience Roster (IER), the Local 884 Teachers Availability List, or a non-roster classification that has required training. You can also search the IATSE Television Commercial Roster (TCR) to see if your classification is on the TCR.

For any additional questions, visit Contract Services.

What is a Contract Services Letter?

When you apply for union roster placement (Industry Experience Roster) or upgrading with Contract Services, you will need to provide proof of days worked. Proof of days worked is typically an employment verification letter, also known as a Contract Services Letter, which captures and reports hours or days worked.

You may have submitted a request to EP for a Contract Services Letter in the past — but myEP just made this process even easier. Access the same information captured in a Contract Services Letter and submit it to Contract Services in a seamless self-service process. Get started under the Contract Services Letter section of myEP.

Do I need a Contract Services Letter?

You will need to provide verification of work experience (Contract Services letter) in the industry when you apply for placement or upgrade on an industry roster (e.g., the Industry Experience Roster, the IATSE Television Commercial Roster or the Local 884 Teacher Availability List) or for access to training for “non-roster” classifications. In most cases, you demonstrate work experience by providing verification from your employer, which you can do for EP-paid shows through myEP. (See instructions at the top of the page.) Once Contract Services receives verification of your work experience, it will appear in your Contract Services Portal.

Review the Contract Services Work Experience FAQs for more information.

How do I apply for placement on an industry roster (e.g., the Industry Experience Roster) or for access to Contract Services training for “non-roster” classifications?

Create a Contract Services Portal account at thehub.org and start an application, which generally includes providing required documents, demonstrating work experience and completing preliminary training.

Click here for helpful Quick Reference Guides and Video Tutorials on how to create your Contract Services Portal account and manage your application.

Once this is done you will be able to request Contract Services work verification / Contract Services letter through myEP.

How do I submit my work experience (hours or days) to Contract Services for roster placement from myEP?

Before you can submit work experience to Contract Services, you first need to create a Contract Services Portal account at thehub.org and start an application.

Once your Contract Services account is set up, you may submit your work experience through myEP (see instructions at the top of the page). To do so, first, connect your Payroll Profile. Connecting your Payroll Profile is how you verify your identity to securely access your EP payroll information and unlock the full potential of myEP. If you already have copies of your work experience documentation, you can also upload it directly into your Contract Services Portal account.

Note: To connect your Payroll Profile, you must have worked on an EP-paid project within the past three years.

Where can I review my submissions to Contract Services?

Find a history of submissions in one place from myEP under the Contract Services Letter section, Submission History. Click View Details under the Actions column for more information about your submissions, like job, union, and dates.

When do the hours or days I worked display in myEP so I can submit them?

Hours or days from an EP-paid project display and are available for submitting to Contract Services the day after your paycheck is cut.

Can EP access my hours or days from non-EP projects?

EP only provides information for EP-paid projects.

How can I tell whether Contract Services has received the submission of my work experience through myEP?

You can check the status of your submission by logging in to your Contract Services Portal. When Contract Services receives employment verification on your behalf, it will appear in your Portal under the Work Experience tab.

If I work for a local in New York or other areas outside of Hollywood, what do I need to submit to the union?

For all outside of Hollywood locals, you can request an Earning Report, please complete and submit our Crew & Talent Inquiries & Corrections Form.

How can I find my work hours or days from more than three years ago?

MyEP can access records and process submissions for work performed in the past three years. If you need older information, do not make a submission using myEP. Contact EP at cslr@ep.com to request a Contract Services Letter.
